Botanical Art Online  Dianne Sutherland

The enthusiasm and dedication of students never ceases to amaze me and have to say that I've learned an awful lot since the beginning of my online botanical art and illustration courses in 2011! I always try to encourage students to work hard, aim high but to never rush or to worry if things don't always go to plan. 
Many amazing students have undertaken courses with me and have kindly granted permission for me to showcase a small selection of their beautiful work in this gallery, which also includes some of their study page work. For me the sketches and study page is a vital stage of the preparation of a final drawing or painting - its the place to learn about the subject and to snag all the problems, often these pages are as beautiful as the final works and deserve to be seen.  
I hope you enjoy viewing the works as much as I've enjoyed being involved in the process!  Do check back as I'll be adding more student work in 2024.
